I have two type of strings, strung. Prince Synthetic Gut and Tour XP, both 16g. My stringer just moved and like to pass on what is what to my new stinger. Its currently strung horizontal with the synthetic gut and vertical with the black Tour XP 57 and 55. Which one is normally the higher tension? My past stinger moved and I’m not able to contact him to find out. Thank you

I’m a bit confused by what you mean when you say horizontal and vertical. That would depend on if you hold the racquet horizontal or vertical. Normally, the strings in the longer dimension are called ‘mains’ and those in the shorter dimension ‘crosses.’
Below is a link to how some of the pros string their racquets. The first number for tension is for the mains, the second for the crosses. As you’ll see, most pros here use the same tension for both mains and crosses. Those that vary are usually tighter for the mains, but not always.
